What is the Pupil Premium?

The Pupil Premium is extra funding provided by the UK government to schools. Its purpose is to ensure that all children, regardless of their circumstances, have equal opportunities to succeed both academically and personally. The funding helps schools close the attainment gap and supports every child in reaching their full potential.

Who is Eligible for the Pupil Premium?

A child may make their school eligible for Pupil Premium funding if they:

• Have been registered for Free School Meals at any point in the last six years.

• Are currently, or have been, in the care of the local authority (Looked After Children).

• Come from Armed Forces families (Service Premium).
